Gerrard looking forward to Sunday

“I think the reaction (since the 1-0 defeat at Wigan Athletic) over the last two games has been superb and the plan is to maintain it against Man United, said Gerrard
“It was vital this game didn’t go to extra-time. We know how difficult Sunday is going to be. We’ll enjoy this result and we’ll get a warm-down on Friday and we’ll look forward to Sunday.”
You now what? He is right, the reaction to the loss at Wigan has been fantastic, you cannot ask for more than two wins, seven goals and even Riera’s bad timing with his comments has not derailed us.
Man Utd may well be favourites but they are going to get a hell of a battle and reading between the lines, Gerrard is saying that we are up for it and we can win.
Naturally he cannot say that outright because as we all know when you say that it backfires, so the skipper is being careful, but we know what he is trying to say.
